It has been a matter of general consensus among the companions of the Saintly Seal, Shaykh Ahmad Tijānī !, and a topic of frequent discussion by the authors of the books of his Spiritual Path that the Shaykh said:“A flood (fayda) will come upon my companions, and people will enter our Spiritual Path group upon group.This Fayda will come when people are in their utmost state of distress and hardship.”1 According to (al-Tayyib al-Sufyānī) the author of the Ifāda: “What he meant by Fayda was that many of his companions would obtain spiritual illumination (fath), but he used to consider its time remote.”
